QUALIFICATIONS: degree from approved OTA Certification as a ability to perform duties of to follow treatment plan/IEP goals and objectives as developed by the OTR/ GOAL:The OTA is responsible for providing Occupational Therapy as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist. The OTA is expected to service students with multiple developmental and physical disabilities. The OTA will provide an OT curriculum to all students who require this service per their IEP. This position also requires ongoing parent contact and collaboration with general education and/or other therapeutic RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and carry out developmentally appropriate motivating OT curriculum/ programming as warranted by IEP goals / MA curriculum frameworks/ MA Common Core Standards. Provide direct individual and/or group instruction. Administer OT assessment in conjunction with OTR/L as needed for the IEP process. Attend IEP meetings for own caseload as required by Principal/designee. Provide trans-disciplinary programming through consultation with teachers and other therapeutic staff. Consult with classroom staff in implementing goals of all students. Collect analyze and maintain data on all students on caseload. Conduct quarterly progress reports. Daily maintenance of supplies equipment and departmental space. Organize daily schedule to meet caseload requirements and uses indirect time appropriately. Consult with staff in other discipline areas to improve programming. Facilitate ongoing parent contact and encourage family involvement. Responsible for maintaining licensure and meeting professional development requirements for licensure. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In Accordance with the NBSSU Contract- ($32.39-$37.60/hr.)
