About the Program
MARE is a statewide adoption program that works with partners across Michigan to help children waiting in foster care find permanent families.
Position Summary
The MARE Support Staff provides administrative and office management support to help ensure smooth daily operations of the MARE program.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative and office support
Manage files documentation and record systems
Answer phones and provide basic technical support
Enter and maintain data in agency database systems
Type and format reports correspondence and program documents
Take and distribute meeting minutes
Assist with data collection and reporting
Support contract compliance and program documentation
Qualifications
High school diploma required; some college preferred
Administrative or secretarial experience preferred
Strong computer and organizational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of confidentiality and privacy practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid Michigan drivers license
Background Requirements
Central Registry clearance (no child abuse/neglect record)
ICHAT background check
National and State Sex Offender Registry checks
