Job Summary

Were seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in the Legal and Compliance Division.

In the Legal & Compliance division we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firms management of legal regulatory and franchise risk.

What youll do in the role:

  • The primary responsibilities of the role include:

  • Own and drive adherence to the NFR Framework Conformance Program by leading the quality assurance process for Issues Internal and External Incidents and NFR Risk & Control Assessment components.

  • Drive enhancements to QA methodologies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor timeliness and completeness metrics escalate breaches and implement remediation plans.

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of NFR data across governance forums and regulatory submissions.

  • Ensure evidence and record keeping for internal audit and regulatory inspections.

  • Support taxonomy standardization and change management process.

  • Prepare and publish various decks and materials for Senior Management and NFR Governance Committees.

  • Represent Morgan Stanely in industry forums such as ORX and lead discussions on data standards and emerging risk themes.

  • Executing ORX consortium industry loss inbound and outbound process. Acting as subject matter expert to handle queries from ORX and participate in new data related industry projects.

  • Team management including hiring performance review training mentoring and coaching

What youll bring to the role:

  • The ideal candidate would have:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance Economics or similar. Masters degree is a plus.

  • Around 12-15 years experience within the financial services industry/consulting firms or similar industries subject to comparable regulatory and legal considerations.

  • 5 years relevant experience in Operational Risk Management or Non-Financial Risk Management with a good understanding of operational risk concepts such as Issues Risk and Control Asessment Loss Incidents Metrics.

  • Knowledge around ORX consortitium industry loss data would be a plus

  • Experience with execution/calculations of capital estimates and scalars along with different variance calculations will be an added advantage.

  • Expertise in PowerPoint and Advance Excel. Good working knowledge of VBA Tableau SQL Power BI is desirable.

  • Very strong analytical skills and attention to details

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize; ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Ability to collaborate and work across global teams

Coverage

Monday to Friday from 11:00AM to 8:00PM. Coverage is dependent on business needs so flexibility on required finish time or full days coverage may be required.
