Overview of the role:

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Weekend Sanitation Supervisor to work Thursday to Monday 8 hour shifts. The Weekend Supervisor serves as the central point of coordination for Sanitation Maintenance Quality Control Production and Warehouse teams during weekend operations. This role oversees all weekend plant activities with a primary focus on plant sanitation maintenance alignment and adherence to strict foodsafety and quality standards. The Weekend Supervisor ensures the facility is fully cleaned maintained and productionready for weekday startup while providing clear leadership and direction to sanitation maintenance and production personnel. This position reports directly to the QC Manager.

Applicants should be flexible with their schedules as the role may require extended hours on weekend work.

How you will make contributions that matter:

Sanitation Oversight

  • Cooperate with team members and other departments to develop and implement the Plants Cleaning and Sanitation Program and Master Sanitation Program.
  • Lead and supervise all weekend sanitation activities across the facility.
  • Ensure all sanitation procedures meet regulatory customer and internal standards (e.g. CFIA HACCP GMP industryspecific guidelines).
  • Oversee food safety risk controls through cleaning and sanitation process. Guide the team to successfully complete needed cleaning tasks and to meet companys food safety expectations.
  • Verify completion of sanitation tasks including equipment disassembly/assembly deep cleaning and environmental cleaning.
  • Conduct sanitation inspections swab verification (if applicable) and follow up on nonconformances.
  • Maintain sanitation logs checklists and compliance documentation.

Maintenance Coordination

  • Oversee weekend maintenance activities including planned PMs repairs troubleshooting as well as team management.
  • Cooperate with Maintenance team to manage major projects to ensure the success of the project and the control of food safety risks and business risks.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize weekend work orders.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance team for contractor management and associated risk management to meet company expectations.
  • Ensure equipment is safe functional and production-ready for Monday startup.
  • Document downtime repairs parts used and outstanding maintenance issues.

Operational Leadership

  • Supervise weekend staff across production sanitation and maintenance.
  • Assign tasks monitor progress and ensure efficient use of labor and resources.
  • Provide coaching direction and support to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.
  • Perform daily shift huddles and end-of-shift handovers to weekday supervision/management.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce plant safety procedures PPE requirements and lockout/tagout practices.
  • Conduct safety walk-throughs and report or correct unsafe conditions.
  • Lead or participate in incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Quality & Food/Production Safety

  • Ensure all weekend activities uphold quality standards and do not compromise food/production safety.
  • Verify proper cleaning maintenance practices and equipment setup.
  • Communicate quality or process deviations to QC/QA and operations leadership.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete sanitation reports maintenance summaries and weekend operations logs.
  • Track labor hours work order completion chemical usage and materials consumed.
  • Provide a detailed shift handoff to weekday management on equipment status sanitation issues and any outstanding tasks.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing food processing industrial operations or similar environment.
  • Experience supervising sanitation or maintenance teams is a strong asset.
  • Solid understanding of sanitation programs equipment cleaning and industrial maintenance fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and practices (LOTO WHMIS HACCP GMP OHS).
  • Strong leadership communication decisionmaking and problemsolving abilities under fast-paced working environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity consistently adheres to food safety rules ethical standards and company policies especially when working independently on weekends
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and escalate issues transparently.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe hygienic and compliant operation at all times.

Salary: $80130.00 - $100160.00

Shift: Thursday - Monday; 8 hours per day

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience education skills and training.
