Job Summary and Responsibilities
Schedule: 6:30-14:30
As a Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for accurately receiving inspecting and documenting all incoming shipments and deliveries.
Every day you will verify contents against purchase orders identify and report discrepancies or damages and organize received goods for proper distribution or storage.
To be successful you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail efficient organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting smooth operations.
- Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributors/vendors and assists in unloading shipments from delivery trucks
- Uses dollies forklifts and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around stockroom
- Opens boxes and inspects contents of shipments contacting buyer to resolve shipment discrepancies and processing returns for any defective or incorrect items
- Stores restocks and shelves delivery items as necessary and ensures that stockroom is clean and organized
- Processes transfers for shipments moving on to another location
- Maintains records of all received shipment and contacts distributors/vendors directly or works with buyer to inquire about any shipment issues
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Graduate and Two (2) years supply chain related experience upon hire or
- High School GED or other relevant experience upon hire and
- Incumbents in his job will be grandfathered into educational requirements upon hire and
- None upon hire
