About the opportunity
The AMIS Officer (Graphic) supports and contributes to maintaining accurate digital records and their information systems forming the Asset Management Information System (AMIS). Supporting the operation and management of University assets (predominately facilities). The role is responsible for administration maintenance development and integration of graphical information such as CAD plans mapping and GIS to ensure reliable asset information for planning operations safety and compliance.
To ensure the accuracy integrity and effective use of the Universitys graphical and asset information by maintaining and developing AMIS systems establishing standards and procedures supporting user engagement and training coordinating asset recording and surveying activities and contributing to asset operation and maintenance that relies on high-quality graphical and asset data.
What youll do:
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of graphical information through identification of changes or gaps and engagement of internal and external parties for information/data or self-acquisition.
- Administer maintain and develop graphical information systems performing updates/upgrades configuration and managing licencing users.
- Provide assessments and recommendations for adoption or implementation of new or alternative graphical information systems (I.e. platforms for BIM Point Cloud mesh CAD).
- Develop and maintain standards and procedures for graphical information and systems (e.g. SiSfm Archibus Mazemaps). such as geolocation layering BIM parameters symbols entity properties/styles and documented processes for University specific creation and implementation of maps/plans or the like.
- Engagement (promotion) and training for adoption /use of graphical information systems with internal (e.g. Campus Services ITS Student Life) and external (works contactors/consultants) users and stakeholders.
- Recording depreciable assets for the Universitys financial accounting purposes in liaison with the Universitys Finance team.

- Ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences explain technical concepts in accessible language and build productive working relationships across stakeholder groups. Demonstrated capacity to support client understanding encourage cooperation and influence positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated capacity to plan work meet deadlines and balance operational tasks with emerging requests or project needs.
- Experience with Autodesk CAD software (mapping GIS and BIM desirable).
- Demonstrated ability to operate digital systems troubleshoot software issues and adapt tools to meet operational needs.
- Ability to assess technical issues interpret data identify root causes and implement effective solutions with limited supervision.
- Understanding of construction processes infrastructure lifecycle management and relevant compliance or safety considerations with the ability to interpret drawings/plans collaborate with contractors or project teams and apply practical problem-solving in field or built-environment contexts.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $116872 comprising base salary within the range of $92120 to $99891 plus 17% superannuation.
