ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Set S.M.A.R.T. goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with companys plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Monitor employee KPI productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Receive complaints and resolve problems
- Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
- Prepare and submit performance reports
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
- Work cross-functionally to develop/implement systems and process improvements to provide global trade compliance services to our clients.
- Consult clients either transitionally or as part of projects on a variety of import and international trade matters for example: country of origin import/export requirements global classification client database process improvements presentations QBR for clients.
- Utilize all available resources to render tariff classifications under the HTS for Cranes clients.
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Job may require extended sitting or standing use of standard office equipment.
- Job will require vision abilities including the ability to adjust focus.
- Job will require punctual and regular attendance on-site at the assigned work location.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role
- Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines of the field
- Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills internal and external
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to perform research and make determinations in a fast-paced quality-focused environment.
- Sense of urgency and attention to detail are critical.
- Perform data entry and draft opinion papers.
- Maintain an organized work environment.
- Clock hours in time management software for consulting engagements.
- Achieve a monthly minimum utilization rate of 85%.
- Provide support to consulting team members.
- Keep informed of latest news and developments impacting trade and regulatory compliance.
- Capable of typing 50 to 80 words per minute.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Possess strong client service skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 4 years of experience in global logistics trade compliance import/export regulations.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
- Licensed customs broker or CCS preferred
- CUSECO preferred
