THE OPPORTUNITY
Were seeking aSeniorSoftwareEngineer(Backend)to design build andoptimizeLingos backend systems ensuring they are scalable resilient and secure. You will play a pivotal role in implementinghighperformanceAPIseventdrivenservices and data integrations across our global this roleyoullwork closely with Product Mobile Platform/SRE and Data/ML teams to deliver robustcloudnativeservices troubleshoot complex issues and continuously improve reliability and developer experience.Youllcontribute yourexpertiseto architecture discussions lead implementation of key projects and mentor junior engineers in best practices.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Design develop andmaintainscalable microservices and APIs forrealtimebiosensor data processing.

• Implementeventdrivenintegrations with messaging/streaming systems (Kafka RabbitMQ) and analytics pipelines.

• Collaborate with SRE to ensure observability performance and operational excellence across backend services.

• Participate in architecture and design reviews contributing to decisions on service boundaries data models and communication patterns.

• Optimizebackend services for low latency high throughput and cost efficiency.

• Applyprivacybydesignand security standards in line with HIPAA/GDPR compliance requirements.

• Write clean maintainable and testable code;establishand uphold engineering standards within the team.

• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews pair programming and knowledge sharing sessions.

• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to incident response and postmortem analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-8 years of backend engineering experience with distributedcloudnativesystems.

• Strong skills inmicroservicesarchitecture and API design (REST; familiarity withGraphQL/gRPCis aplus).

• Experience with Kubernetes in production environments and familiarity with service mesh concepts.

• Handsonproficiencywith messaging/streaming systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Programmingexpertisein backend languages such as Java Kotlin Python.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance requirements (HIPAA GDPR or similar).

• Solid understanding of performance optimization scalability patterns and async data processing.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to workcrossfunctionallywith other engineering and product teams.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience integrating backend services with analytics and machine learning pipelines.

• Exposure to API gateways authentication/authorization patterns and rate limiting strategies.

• Background in digital health IoT or othermissioncriticalplatforms.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) andinfrastructureascodetooling (Terraform Helm).
