Senior Electrical Engineer | New York, NY

Join IMEG as a Senior Electrical Engineer in New York NY where youll lead the delivery of large complex building projects as both project manager and lead engineer. Youll collaborate with a talented team of engineers and consultants to provide project direction engineering solutions and expert advice to clients. Principal Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts and analysis of electrical systems using engineering software and tools to create detailed designs specifications and calculations in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards

• Perform site assessments and generate detailed technical reports

• Build and maintain client relationships through effective communication and understanding of project requirements

• Conduct in-process design reviews and implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry and client standards

• Train mentor and motivate engineering staff

• Provide technical assistance for field issue resolution with minimal support

• Stay current with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices; lead research and innovation efforts

• Prioritize safety and identify potential risks in all engineering work

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions

• Lead project interviews and presentations

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required

• Professional Engineer (PE) License required

• 10 years of experience minimum required 12 preferred in the building design

• consulting industry

• Adept in the technical aspects of ones discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory electromagnetism power systems and electronics as they relate to electrical systems

• Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link TechStreet MadCAD and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)

• Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS;

• Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu

• Ability to mentor train motivate and lead others

• Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise

• Ability to sell work and develop client relationships

• Strong training and mentoring skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook

• Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays

Salary Range $143000-$211000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant.
