Job Summary

The Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant (RQMS) is responsible to the CO in camp and on AR exercises for the control management and coordination of all Equipment on the units establishment. The RQMS is under the direct orders of the Quartermaster and is his Second in Command. He is to keep himself fully conversant with all regulations and orders affecting his department and be able to perform the Quartermasters duties in his absence.

Responsibilities:

Accounts the RQMS is the material accountant for the below accounts:

(1) Equipment Table.
(2) Miscellaneous Stores (training Stores Rations Accountable Documents IT COPF).
(3) Expense.
(4) Ammunition.
(5) Loan Stores.

Manage and Co-ordinate the Day to Day responsibilities.

(1) Maintenance serviceability and replenishment of all stores held on charge.
(2) Management of the Clothing account
(3) Have a working acknowledge of all accounts and be able to step in and run the account in the absence of the MA.
(4) Ensure all CQMSs and Civil Stores Reps are updated and current in all G4 working
regulations governed by Defence Logistical Frame work and Bn G4 Standing Orders.
(5) Reacted to G4 returns to higher formations.
(6) Coordinates G4 Health Checks in all Bn locations.
(7) Receipt and Issue of Equipment Entitlement on JAMES.
(8) Manage and comply with in year planning targets utilising Churchill and the Bn FOE.
(9) Coordinate Close Down procedures in all Bn locations for block leave periods.
(10) Carry out the duty of CNO when required.
(11) Manage and Supervision of G4 Material Accountants across the Bn.
(12) Governance and Assurance. Ensure the Bn remain compliant with policy and legislation.
(13) Responsible for the preparation and mentoring the Bn through the LSA&I.
(14) Deputies the Quartermaster on all SHEF matters.

Unit Application Administer (UAA). The UAA will manage and administer the MJDI application at unit level assigning User Roles to applicants and managing authorisation of accounts.

(1) Local application support - maintaining unit and application configuration
(2) Provision of primary user help and support after UPK and User Guides.
(3) The conducting of daily checks to ensure MJDI administration tasks are completed as per MJDI OpsManual Chp10Operational

Schedule the RQMS will carry out such duties as the Quartermaster may assign him.
