We are looking for a new team member who will support us to spark imagination celebrate communities and enhance wellbeing.

About the Role

An opportunity to join Culture Leicestershire as a Cultural Participation Worker.

Culture Leicestershire is the County Councils Museum Heritage Libraries Collections Learning and Participation services.

This roleis within the Cultural Participation support local people to shape how culture is interpreted and experienced using our spaces resources and assets.

A background in the Museum sector would be welcome for this role.

Fixed term until 31st March 2027. Potential for contract extension dependent upon external funding.

  • Research identify and build meaningful partnerships with local people and communities based on the strategic objectives of the Service
  • Develop plan and co-create bespoke cultural projects and activities
  • Use a variety of participatory methods to engage and give voice to people underrepresented by Culture Leicestershire
  • Evaluate report and disseminate project data

An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post you must have experience of:

  • Working in a cultural environment achieving shared goals with sector experts e.g. exhibition development contemporary collecting use of museum objects in community outreach
  • Identifying developing facilitating and co-ordinating projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Embracing and championing equity diversity and inclusion using the principal of co-creation
  • Commissioning and managing freelance creative practitioners (Brief development contracts tendering relationship management target monitoring)
  • Setting monitoringand management ofbudgets including preparing reports forecasting etc
  • Relevant experience of complex informationmanagementquantitative and qualitative dataevaluation and interpretationand reportingideally within a Museum setting and have relevant experience knowledge and qualifications of BTEC Higher or NVQ 4 (or equivalent).
  • Thriving in an evolving environment and embracing new challenges with enthusiasm and resilience.
