We are recruiting a Male Support Worker to join a dedicated 1:1 support package in Hailsham.
This is a highly rewarding role supporting an individual with an acquired brain injury and epilepsy focusing on building a consistent positive and structured daily routine in the community and at home.
This Support Worker role is ideal for someone patient caring and committed to making a meaningful difference in someones life. You will also be responsible for safely transporting the individual to appointments and activities so a full UK driving licence is essential.
Location: Hailsham
Salary: 14.15 per hour (reviewed annually)
Hours: 27 hours per week
Contract: Permanent part-time
Requirement: Full UK driving licence (essential)
Gender requirement: Male (Genuine Occupational Requirement under Equality Act 2010)
About the Role
You will be supporting one individual to live a fulfilling and active life promoting independence confidence and enjoyment in everyday activities.
This is a calm structured role where you will be working closely with the individual to support routines community access and meaningful engagement.
The Person You Will Support Enjoys:

- Ball games
- Picnics and days out
- Being outdoors
- Fun structured activities in the community
Your role is to help make these activities safe consistent and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 person-centred support
- Support daily routines and promote independence
- Drive safely to activities appointments and community outings
- Encourage positive engagement in hobbies and interests
- Support with personal care and structured routines where required
- Respond calmly to changes in presentation or behaviour
- Build a trusting positive working relationship
