Position Overview
Sunnybrook Foundation is seeking a proactive and competent major gift fundraising professional and relationship manager to serve as Senior Philanthropy Officer. The Senior Philanthropy Officer will manage and grow a diverse portfolio of 100-125 prospects donors and volunteers developing engagement strategies and solicitation plans in support of the Hospitals strategic priorities.
With a passion for healthcare philanthropy experience building credibility and trusting relationships and an appreciation for the complexity of the hospital environment the ideal candidate will develop mutually beneficial partnerships with physicians nurses allied health professionals and other subject matter experts within specific areas of care and research and be skilled at coaching and engaging them in all aspects of philanthropy.
Motivated by the opportunity to inspire lasting support the Senior Philanthropy Officer will be an effective communicator that is skilled at articulating opportunities for philanthropic impact that compel donors to take action securing significant donor support towards hospital priorities and advancing Sunnybrooks overall vision and ambition.

The hiring range for this position is $. The salary will be determined based on the successful candidates years of experience qualifications and competencies that are relevant to this position. This position is also eligible for performance-based compensation.
In addition to salary our competitive compensation package also includes comprehensive health and dental benefits HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) hybrid work environment with a minimum of two (2) days in office two (2) float days each fiscal year and additional Sunny Days (long weekend closures in advance of summer long weekends and Christmas Eve).
