Job Description
We are seeking expressions of interest from adult Speech Pathologists who want to be considered as casual clinical educators in the La Trobe Communication Clinic and residential aged care settings. We are urgently seeking casual educators to support clinical placements for students studying in our Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Hons) and Masters of Speech Pathology courses.
The La Trobe Communication Clinic (LCC) is a teaching learning and research clinic that provides speech pathology services to the community on the University campus at Bundoora. The clinic is student-led providing progressive scaffolding of student skills in speech pathology from novice to entry level students interlinking with academic subjects and enabling students to confidently attend external placements.
Clinicians will work with groups of students to provide evidence-based speech pathology services to adults presenting with speech language and/or swallowing disorders.
Orientation to the LCC or the placement and the student program will be provided prior to the commencement of placement.
Clinicians will be required to attend an aged care setting weekly on the specified clinic day/s and support students preparation for clinic remotely between sessions.
Job Requirements
Casual Staff Availability:As required and pending availability of casual staff. Some 2 3 days per week options during 2026 may be available.

Placement Dates:Dates vary dependent on length of placement (approximately 10 weeks at a time). Multiple opportunities available commencing from early March 2026 through to December 2026
