Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Wheel Loader/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team!
In this role you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support compost projects ensuring efficient and safe site operations. Your expertise will help drive project success maintain safety standards and contribute to the timely completion of operations.
Pay: $24- $27/hr
Day shift (Monday- Friday OT Saturdays when needed or if desired)
5:30 am- 3/5 pm (10-12 hour days LOTS of OT opportunities)
Duties
- Operate wheel loaders grinders excavators dozers backhoes graders water trucks dump trucks and other heavy machinery with precision and safety.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with site preparation material handling loading/unloading supplies and moving earth or debris as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding equipment status and project progress.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage inspections and maintenance records.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including loaders excavators dozers graders water trucks and dump trucks.
- Proven experience operating construction machinery on active job sites.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
