Recruitment Responsibilities
Oversee the recruitment and hiring process of potential new hires. Work with Site Liaisons and Site Leads to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs. When necessary perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using computer databases networking internet recruiting resources and employee referrals. Recruit applicants for open positions arranging job fairs with college or university campus representatives. Provide innovative ways to recruit the best candidates for the organization. Advise the Director of Personnel on organizing preparing implementing and/or maintaining company recruiting and retention programs. (Performs approximately 40% of the day)
2. Community Engagement Duties
In collaboration with the Community Development Department the following duties will be performed; develop and retain relationships with key stakeholders identify potential community partnerships sit in advisory boards at colleges and school districts. Assist with recruitment marketing efforts and increase brand awareness in the community. Ability to build strong relationships with colleges high schools and other community members that can support and help increase Teaching Fellows recruitment methods. (Performs approximately 40% of the day)
Clerical and Department Administrative Duties
Oversee application screening and assign candidates to the appropriate manager to interview. Assist in the management of staffing sheets hiring process and interviews. As needed advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures. Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure conformance to educational professional statistical and testing standards recommending revision as needed. (Performs approximately 10% of day)
Perform Other Duties as Assigned
At all times maintain excellent personal service to all personnel while maintaining a level of sensitivity and fairness; attend all relevant staff meetings; provide assistance in the improvement of human resources management systems and procedures; demonstrate flexibility and understanding when asked or required to perform other duties as assigned. (Performs approximately 10% of day)
A bachelors degree is preferred. Three to five years of relevant experience in human resources management personnel recruitment and/or the pre-employment process; knowledgeable of the principles and procedures for personnel recruitment selection training compensation and benefits labor relations and personnel information systems; must be fluent in the English language and be able to communicate and convey information and directions effectively; be able to establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships among office staff and management; be able to work and communicate effectively with supervisors peers or subordinates; must be skilled in clerical procedures and systems such as word processing managing files and records designing forms creating systems and processes and other related office procedures; maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing materials and entering information; possess strong skills in identifying the qualifications skills knowledge and abilities of potential job candidates using an interactive interview process; possess skills in active listening writing organization analytical problem solving stress and time management; possess skills in working with a personal computer including the use of Microsoft Word Excel Access PowerPoint and Outlook for email proficiency; able to work in a fast-paced work environment; possess a high degree of trustworthiness respect and sensitivity for others; need to demonstrate work flexibility and a sound work ethic; and meet set job related goals and objectives.
