ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain accurate records of assets liabilities profit & loss and tax liabilities for the facility.
- Prepare examine and analyze accounting records and financial statements for accuracy completeness and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze financial data to prepare internal and external financial reports.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports within required time frames.
- Prepare monthâend journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations on schedule.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Research and interpret accounting policies and regulations to answer procedure questions.
- Ensure financial records are accurate complete and filed in accordance with internal and corporate standards.
- Assist the CFO with schedules reports audits and corporateârequested projects.
- Support and coordinate accounting and financial projects as assigned.
- Serve as a backup for Payroll/AP Staff Accountant when necessary.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
Five years of accounting experience preferred; healthcare experience is a plus.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail time management and organizational skills.
