About the Role
As a Catering Manager you will be an outstanding leader with well-rounded kitchen competencies who thrives in managing and leading their staff by example to be the best that they can be.
Our catering team are responsible for ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of service possible across all three (3) Ramsay sites located in Cairns. You will be supported by an experienced team of staff and your hands on approach to managing the business will ensure your success as will your willingness to go the extra mile in order to deliver results.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Production and delivery of a high volume of meals per day
Catering for internal functions
Direction and leadership of all catering staff
Quality Control
Food quality control and oversee and maintain OHS and HACCP
Responsible for financial and operational performance of catering services
Purchasing and stock control
Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the client by achieving a high level of customer services and satisfaction
About You
Chef trade qualifications with experience in a high-volume catering environment
Food Safety Supervisor certification
Responsible Service of Alcohol qualifications
Confident verbal and written communication skills with both internal departments employees and with customers directly
Knowledge of HACCP Principles and the proven ability to manage the food safety program
Previous experience managing training and mentoring staff
Experience in a catering management position with multiple sites
Prior knowledge of the healthcare environment will be highly regarded but not essential
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Audit and end of month financial reporting
Experience with Chefmax software (desirable)
