Description:

Temporary Assignment

The Environmental Support Supervisor leads daily housekeeping laundry and floor care operations to maintain a clean safe and home-like environment for residents visitors and colleagues. This role ensures regulatory compliance implements infection prevention & control standards and drives service excellence consistent with Trinity Health Senior Communities Mission and Valuesespecially Reverence Commitment to the Poor and Underserved Justice Stewardship and Integrity. The Supervisor plans work trains and coaches team members monitors quality and partners across Nursing Maintenance and Dining to support residentcentered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities ensuring all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Train schedule and manage housekeeping staff to ensure efficiency and quality performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms common areas and facilities to ensure high hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment ordering as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with health safety and infection control policies as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Address resident and staff concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in developing and implementing housekeeping procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain a comfortable and safe living environment for residents.
  • Handle employee performance reviews coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or healthcare is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures chemicals and infection control standards.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and lead a team with professionalism and respect.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Ability to lift carry and move equipment and supplies as needed.
