Job Summary

Own cloud strategy for the team : Define and maintain the cloud roadmap for your area (e.g. landing zone platform services standards) aligned with enterprise architecture and security/compliance requirements.
Lead and grow the cloud engineers : Do 1:1s coach on design and best practices ensure the team delivers reliably (sprint goals operational KPIs)
Ensure reliability security and cost control : Take accountability for availability performance security posture and cloud spend (SLOs incident management cost optimisation).
Coordinate with stakeholders: Work with product owners dev teams security networking and management to prioritise work manage expectations and plan deliveries.
Govern standards and ways of working : Define and enforce patterns for IaC CI/CD tagging backup/DR access management
Vendor and platform management: Manage relationships with internal cloud platform providers and key SaaS/PaaS vendors monitor SLAs and represent your domain in audits and reviews.

With your personal strengths view of the world and unique personality. You need the following qualifications for the position of IT Cloud Lead:

Minimum 8 years professional experience in IT with a proven track record delivering enterprise infrastructure and platform projects.
At least 5 years handson cloud experience (Azure preferred; experience with AWS/GCP desirable) including design and implementation of networking identity storage compute PaaS monitoring and security.
Minimum 3 years people leadership / line management experience (coaching 1:1s performance management and career development);
3 years experience owning cloud platform strategy or platform engineering responsibilities defining roadmaps governance (IaC CI/CD tagging) SLOs and costoptimisation.
