Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director for Delivery Quality who will play a critical role in ensuring that all delivery projects meet the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in quality assurance and project management combined with a deep understanding of delivery processes in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
As the Associate Director - Delivery Quality you will lead a team of professionals responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality of project deliverables defining quality standards and implementing best practices across all phases of delivery. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure that quality expectations are met consistently and effectively driving continuous improvements across the organizations delivery functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Leadership:
- Lead and manage the quality assurance and delivery quality teams ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive quality management strategy to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services.
- Monitor delivery performance across multiple projects and provide regular updates to senior management regarding quality metrics and progress.
- Define and implement quality standards and KPIs that align with organizational goals and client expectations.
- Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Continuously assess and improve delivery processes to drive efficiency and enhance the quality of output.
- Implement robust quality control mechanisms across various stages of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Promote and instill a culture of continuous improvement across teams to deliver excellence in project delivery.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with cross-functional teams (such as Product Management Operations and Client Services) to ensure seamless integration of quality initiatives into delivery processes.
- Provide expert guidance and training to project teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Work closely with clients to understand their quality expectations and translate them into actionable project delivery plans.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks related to delivery quality and propose effective mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address delivery quality challenges and ensure prompt resolution to minimize impact on project timelines and client satisfaction.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting dashboards that track quality metrics project performance and improvement initiatives.
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to senior leadership on areas of improvement and emerging trends in delivery quality.
- Team Development:
- Foster a high-performing collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Mentor and coach team members developing their skills in delivery quality and performance management.
- Build out and refine a delivery quality talent pipeline for future organizational growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelors degree or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g. PMP Six Sigma ISO) preferred.
- Minimum of 18-20 years of experience in quality assurance project management or delivery management with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity and 10 years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience in leading large cross-functional teams with a focus on delivery quality in a complex client-driven environment.
- Proven experience in defining and implementing quality standards frameworks and continuous improvement processes in a delivery context.
- Experience with various delivery methodologies (Agile Waterfall Hybrid) and quality assurance tools and frameworks.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivery quality and process optimization.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage competing deadlines effectively.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (e.g. ISO 9001 CMMI ITIL).
- Experience working with global or remote teams in a multi-region delivery environment.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced industry such as IT consulting software development or management consulting.
