Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient OB/GYN and multispecialty setting. This role supports providers by delivering patient care assisting with clinical procedures and ensuring adherence to infection control and quality standards.
Shift & Schedule
Schedule: Day Shift
Hours: 5 8-hour shifts
Typical Shift Time: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Days: Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed providers
Support OB/GYN and multispecialty clinical services including primary care and specialty clinics
Assist with patient intake vital signs documentation and room preparation
Maintain infection control standards and support performance improvement initiatives
Assist providers with examinations treatments and minor procedures
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
Support patient education and follow-up instructions
Coordinate care activities and assist with clinical workflow
Uphold professional nursing standards and departmental policies
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program
Active New York State LPN licensure and registration
Required Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of infection control principles
Understanding of performance improvement practices
Ability to follow clinical protocols and appropriately delegate tasks
Strong organizational and communication skills
Patient-focused approach with attention to quality and safety
Preferred Experience
Outpatient clinic or multispecialty practice experience
Experience supporting OB/GYN services
