Vice President of Operations (3PL/third-party logistics operations exp. req.) Description

Our client a third-party logistics provider is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead their 100000-square-foot warehouse operation and oversee a team of 25. In this role youll own end-to-end warehouse and distribution activities ensuring safe efficient operations that meet client expectations while driving profitability workflow optimization and continuous improvement. This opportunity is ideal for a leader with progressive experience in 3PL operations. Vice President of Operations (3PL/third-party logistics operations exp. req.) Responsibilities

Lead and direct 3PL warehousing operations (7 direct/18 indirect)
Build and develop high-performing teams with clear expectations and accountability
Improve SOPs across inventory management pick/pack/ship receiving and daily operations
Oversee floor operations and provide hands-on assistance during peak periods
Lead new clients onboarding and own service-level performance
Identify opportunities for technology improvements and maximize WMS effectiveness
Negotiate vendor contracts while evaluating client profitability and overall strategic fit
Partner with ownership and sales teams to support client retention and business growth
Oversee operational financials including P&L labor productivity metrics and cost controls
Develop and manage annual operating budgets and capital expenditure plans
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead short- and long-term operational planning

7 years of operations experience required
4 years of progressive leadership experience within 3PL required
Budgeting experience required
Ability to work onsite daily required
