Job Summary
As a Set-Up Utility Porter your role will include:
Job Responsibilities:
- Shampooing carpets in convention space.
- Polishing marble.
- Operating sweepers scrubbers buffers walk behinds and various other floor machines.
- High cleaning and/ or dusting.
- Emptying trashcans.
- Picking up trash.
- Cleaning glass.
- Polishing metals.
- Performing bio hazard clean-up.
- Any other janitorial related duties as requested.
- Responsible for executing the preparation setup and teardown of banquet areas/meeting spaces moving furniture and stage platforms lifting heavy objects such as chairs tables and dance floor sections and pushing/pulling carts and all other duties as determined by the Director of Catering and Management.
- The Banquet Porter interacts with guest and maintains the cleanliness of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards & fire codes from the City of Nevada.
Qualifications :
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must be able to communicate read and write in English fluently and comprehend and follow Banquet Event Orders and diagrams.
- Previous carpet hard floor care and equipment knowledge is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required at present or in the future for this position at all times.
