- Assist in food preparation including washing peeling chopping and portioning ingredients with precision and efficiency - Prepare and maintain mise en place to support smooth kitchen operations during service - Support senior chefs with cooking plating and presentation of dishes to exacting standards - Maintain exemplary standards of kitchen cleanliness organisation and hygiene at all times
- Follow all food safety allergen control and health and safety procedures meticulously - Contribute to special event catering and function support as required - Develop culinary techniques and knowledge under the guidance of experienced kitchen staff - Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless coordination during service - Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced kitchen environment - Take responsibility for personal professional development and continuous skill improvement
Qualifications :

- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or catering environment - Relevant culinary training or qualification (such as NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Professional Cookery) - Experience in a high-profile catering hospitality or education setting - Basic knife skills and food preparation techniques - Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food preparation methods **Domain Expertise:** - Knowledge of food safety standards and best practice in professional kitchens is advantageous
