Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee employment law compliance and industrial relations strategies across Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford.

  • Act as the key subject matter expert on Employment Act MOM regulations and labour-related matters.

  • Manage and advise on employee relations cases disputes grievances and investigations ensuring fairness consistency and legal compliance.

  • Lead underperformance management and disciplinary processes ensuring fair consistent and legally sound outcomes.

  • Partner closely with hotel leaders and line managers to guide corrective action investigations and documentation.

  • Ensure consistent application of disciplinary standards across both properties.

  • Conduct regular cluster-wide compliance checks across both hotels to ensure zero non-compliance.

  • Ensure full adherence to MOM regulations and employment legislation.

  • Track document and close all compliance gaps in a timely manner.

  • Support compensation and benchmarking exercises to ensure compliance with statutory and internal frameworks.

  • Analyse IR and compliance trends to proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives including the planning and execution of the welfare and engagement calendar (e.g. farewells long service awards employee recognition and celebrations).

  • Ensure celebrations and engagement activities are meaningful inclusive and aligned with strengthening employee belonging and morale.

  • Build strong employee well-being through effective benefits administration including insurance medical and welfare programs ensuring clarity care and strong employee understanding.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on benefits-related matters ensuring consistent and accurate communication.

 

Skills Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of the Employment Act MOM regulations and industrial & labour relations

  • Proven experience in underperformance management and disciplinary processes

  • Experience handling disputes grievances and investigations

  • Knowledge of compensation frameworks and benchmarking

  • Hands-on experience with TP8 HR system and HRIS platforms

  • High attention to detail with a strong governance mindset

  • Confident advisor able to influence senior stakeholders

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills

  • Calm objective and professional under pressure

  • Ability to manage sensitive cases with discretion empathy and fairness
