The Purpose
As the Assistant Manager for De Beers London in Paris your primary purpose is to support the Store Manager in leading the stores operations driving sales growth and upholding the brands prestigious reputation. You will be responsible for assisting in managing the business on a day-to-day basis ensuring exceptional customer service and fostering a motivated and high-performing team. Your role is pivotal in creating a luxurious shopping experience that reflects the excellence of De Beers London.
Main Responsibilities
- Sales Management and Business Development: Support the Store Manager in leading the stores sales efforts develop strategies to increase sales and build strong relationships with VIP clientele. Implement action plans to develop sales for each product category and clientele.
- Staff Management: Assist in hiring training and motivating staff to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service. Provide continuous coaching to ensure deep product knowledge refined service behaviours and alignment with both brand and department store standards. Foster a culture of excellence through regular touchpoints performance guidance and clear objectives.
- Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory levels optimize stock mix and levels to reflect sales trends and maintain merchandise presentation standards.
- Administrative Management: Oversee department store operations control costs and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Support and prepare detailed sales reports and contribute to business reviews providing insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and drive store success.
- Customer Service: Champion a warm sophisticated and personalised client journey. Resolve complex client matters with discretion and poise while equipping the team with the skills and confidence to deliver consistently exceptional service in a dynamic department store environment.
- Store Visuals: Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure displays reflect the brands spirit of excellence. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and store presentation. Adapt displays to department store guidelines while preserving the maisons identity and storytelling.
- Brand Representation: Serve as a true ambassador of the maison nurturing strong relationships with department store leadership personal shoppers and teams to maximise visibility and commercial opportunity. Stay attuned to the local luxury landscape competitor activity and client trends to support agile informed decisionmaking.

Qualifications :
- Fluent in the local language and fluent in spoken and written English. Other languages (e.g. Chinese Arabic Russian) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the luxury jewellery retail industry and an inherent interest in the jewellery industry.
- Proven record of delivering sales results and experience in a luxury store environment luxury jewellery is a plus.
- A proactive leader who takes initiative and drives meaningful impact.
