Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts financial statements and variance analysis
Support budgeting forecasting and cash flow management
Maintain general ledger accuracy including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with end-of-month and end-of-year close processes
Accounts & Controls
Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable processes including supplier payments and guest invoicing
Monitor payroll processing compliance and reconciliations
Ensure strong internal controls across revenue expenses inventory and cash handling
Support audits and liaise with external auditors as required
Hospitality & Operational Finance
Work closely with department heads (Front Office Food & Beverage Maintenance Tours) to monitor costs and improve financial performance
Assist with stock control inventory counts and cost of goods analysis
Review revenue streams including accommodation F&B tours and retail
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with taxation statutory and regulatory requirements
Assist with BAS GST and other reporting obligations
Support continuous improvement of financial systems processes and reporting tools
Qualifications :
About You
Degree qualified in Accounting Finance or a related discipline
CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) highly regarded
Minimum 35 years experience in an accounting or finance role
Experience in hospitality tourism or multi-site operations is highly desirable
Strong understanding of financial reporting budgeting and internal controls
Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
High level of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable living and working onsite in a remote location
