ALMACO is growing and adding to our team with an Industrial Painter!
Industrial Painters at ALMACO use an air spray system to paint the metal parts and sub-assemblies of our agricultural research equipment. You have previous experience with preparing and painting metal in a manufacturing setting. You are detail-oriented and take pride in your work as an Industrial Painter.
You are reliable and can work 40-50 hours per week depending on the work schedule. Youll enjoy a friendly family-style work environment. Youll experience flexibility in your work hours that you wont find in other jobs variety and opportunities for advancement.
This position is available on the 1st shift (flexible daytime hours) Monday - Friday.
Opportunities in this position:
- Paints ALMACO agricultural research equipment using an air spray system and two-component polyurethane paint.
- Prepares parts and equipment for painting by cleaning them with alcohol wipes and washing them in the wash bay using a 3-stage wash system along using an air blower to ensure a clean painting surface.
- Maintains paint booth by setting up painting equipment mixing paint and adjusting equipment to produce designed painting result.
- Manages the drying process and stores painted equipment appropriately.
- May help with production processes in other areas as needed.
An ideal candidate would possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with industrial painting or previous training.
- Knowledge and skill to set up tear down and maintain the paint system.
- Attention to detail to ensure the quality of work.
- Ability to wear an air-supplied body suit and mask as Personal Protective Equipment. May also wear a respirator at times.
