As an Engineering Manager you will be a technical leader responsible for guiding the Application Platform team to deliver next-generation solutions. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will shape the future of Guidewires platform accelerate AI and cloud adoption and ensure our products meet the evolving needs of global insurers. Job Description

What youll do

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver secure scalable and reliable application platform solutions that power Guidewires cloud offerings.

• Drive the adoption of AI and cloud capabilities ensuring operational excellence and measurable customer value.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to launch new products enhance platform reliability and improve service compliance and security.

• Foster a culture of innovation continuous learning and customer-centricity within the team.

• Manage projects that accelerate the delivery of transformative features including GenAI integration and advanced automation.

• Champion proactive security practices and operational improvements to meet compliance and reliability targets.

• Support the professional growth of your team through coaching feedback and development opportunities.

What youll bring

• Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation productivity and continuous improvement.

• Demonstrated Java mastery and strong object-oriented design skills.

• Proven experience architecting cloud applications preferably cloud-native on modern cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure or GCP).

• Demonstrated experience working with AI systems including integrating AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into production software or platforms.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in cloud platform or enterprise software environments.

• Strong technical background in distributed systems cloud infrastructure and platform security.

• Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to drive operational excellence and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive innovative and high-performing team culture.

Preferred

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience with AI/ML integration cloud-native architectures and large-scale platform operations.

• Familiarity with the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.

Your Impact

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $173000 - $259000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience skills education training and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health dental and vision insurance paid time off and a company sponsored retirement addition some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan commissions and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including but not limited to company and employee performance.
