The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is a customer-facing technical expert who supports the full sales cyclefrom early design discussions to post-implementation success. This role works closely with customers to understand their applications recommend the right solutions and ensure successful product integration. You will act as a trusted advisor to both customers and the sales team helping drive design wins and long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales technical support by understanding customer requirements recommending solutions and supporting proposals design reviews and technical presentations
- Partner with sales to influence product selection and secure new business opportunities
- Deliver post-sales support by resolving technical issues supporting integration and assisting with testing calibration and validation
- Troubleshoot customer challenges both remotely and on-site as needed
- Share customer feedback with engineering and product teams to support product improvements and roadmap decisions
- Document applications solutions and lessons learned to build internal knowledge and support future opportunities

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
- Experience in a Field Application Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role within an electro-mechanical or component manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of customer applications and product integration
- Experience with force sensing technologies is preferred
- Hands-on skills such as strain gage bonding or soldering are an advantage
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Organized self-disciplined and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer support
- Fluent in written and spoken English
