Job Summary

Development Engineer (Hardware) - Johannesburg

R55 000 to R60 000 CTC

The Dev Engineer with a focus on designing and industrialising electronic systems used in demanding real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop analog & digital electronic circuits and embedded systems
Build test and validate prototypes for performance and reliability
Support product industrialisation DFM/DFT and production readiness
Ensure EMC/EMI compliance and adherence to safety and regulatory standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with software mechanical and production teams
Provide technical support documentation and mentorship to junior engineers

Key Requirements

BEng / BSc Engineering (Electronics) or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic product development
Strong experience in embedded systems C/C and PCB design (Altium advantageous)
Solid understanding of hardware/software integration
Experience with microcontrollers DSP communication protocols (I2C SPI UART CAN Ethernet)
Hands-on lab experience and exposure to EMC testing and certification processes
Strong analytical problem-solving and documentation skills
