Hatch Asia has been appointed as the preferred executive search partner to lead the search for a Senior Director Student Experience for a prominent higher education institution in Southeast Asia.
This is a strategic leadership role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer with enterprise responsibility for designing and governing a coherent student-centered experience across the full student lifecycle.
The Challenges
- Transform fragmented student services into a deliberately designed end-to-end student experience system
- Establish clear governance service standards and accountability across decentralised student-facing functions
- Embed data journey mapping and service design to address pain points and improve retention and satisfaction
- Partner with Digital & Technology to enable seamless omni-channel and self-service student engagement
- Align academic operational and support functions to deliver a consistent experience across campuses
- Drive measurable improvements in satisfaction engagement and service performance while reducing complaints and variability
What It Takes
- Senior leadership experience in student experience service operations or complex service ecosystems
- Strong enterprise and systems thinking with the ability to influence across academic and functional boundaries
- Proven track record of translating strategy into service standards KPIs and measurable improvements
- Experience leveraging data and digital enablement to enhance user journeys and operational effectiveness
- High stakeholder maturity with the credibility to partner with academic leaders and senior executives
- A student-centric mindset with the ability to lead cultural change toward empathy accountability and service excellence
