Job Title: General Labourer

Location: Baie-Comeau QC Canada

Contract Details: Full-time 40 hours per week

We are mandated by a transportation company that provides reliable high-quality services to its clients in Baie-Comeau Quebec.

As a General Labourer you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks . This may include but is not limited to loading and unloading materials operating machinery cleaning and preparing job sites and assisting other team members as needed.

Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain the garage and workshop
Paint and help with sandblasting work
Wash trucks and cars
Help mechanics with basic tasks
Pack and bag materials
Load and unload trucks
Operate a forklift (if trained)

Requirements:

Physically fit and able to perform manual physically demanding work
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Strong work ethic positive attitude and good teamwork skills
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment is an asset
Previous experience in a labourer construction or similar role is an asset but not required
High school diploma or equivalent

Training:

On-the-job training provided

Opportunities for overtime may be available

Responsabilités :

Nettoyer et entretenir le garage et latelier
Peindre et aider aux travaux de sablage
Laver les camions et les voitures
Aider les mécaniciens avec des tâches de base
Emballer et ensacher les matériaux
Charger et décharger les camions
Opérer un chariot élévateur (si formé)

Exigences :

Être en bonne condition physique et capable deffectuer un travail manuel et exigeant physiquement
Capacité à soulever et transporter des charges lourdes
Volonté dapprendre et de suivre les instructions
Fort sens du travail attitude positive et bon esprit déquipe
Connaissances de base des outils et équipements (un atout)
Expérience préalable comme manœuvre en construction ou dans un poste similaire (un atout mais non obligatoire)
Diplôme détudes secondaires ou équivalent
