Job Description
- Independently manage a high-volume collections caseload (approximately 250 to 400 active matters) from intake through resolution
- Handle court appearances and enforcement proceedings in multiple jurisdictions including covenant enforcement matters
- Work closely with paralegals legal assistants and senior attorneys to drive files forward efficiently
- Review and interpret governing documents and client materials; draft analyses and recommendations for attorney review
- Communicate regularly with community association boards and management companies including routine reporting and status updates
- Track and manage billing (hourly and task-code/fixed-fee matters) with strong attention to detail
- Attend occasional on-site client meetings (board meetings elections and related association matters)
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active Virginia Bar license (required)
- 2 years of creditor-side collections experience (community association/HOA collections a plus)
- Comfortable handling court appearances and post-judgment enforcement
- Strong legal research writing and client communication skills
- Organized and able to manage a fast-moving high-volume caseload
