The Welder position is a vital member of the Manufacturing Team contributing to our safety culture providing high productivity high quality welds flexibility in assignments and supporting continuous improvement in the following capacities:
Responsibilities include:
- Perform FCAW (Fluxcore) and Tig welds on a variety of thicknesses sizes and orientations of equipment
- Read and interpret engineered drawings and job travelers
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Use basic hand tools such as tape measure level square etc.
- Follow established safety and quality policies procedures and practices
- Safely use overhead crane and lifting equipment
- Maintain and complete all required documentation and electronic records
Required Qualifications
- Pass the GTAW vertical test FCAW vertical test
- Positive mindset with high energy and ability to self-manage
- Flexible work hours (standard shift 5:00 3:30 M-Th. Friday and Saturday OT as required)
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending punching welding etc
- Read tape measure
- Perform mathematical calculations required for fabrication
- Understand and comfortable adding and subtracting fractions and decimals
- Basic tool and shop knowledge
