Design Engineering Manager

People leader managing a team of design engineers and ensuring successful execution of eBOS product development and engineering deliverables. Oversees project assignments prioritization and performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead mentor and develop design engineers in technical skills processes and career growth.
• Assign resources review work and ensure timely engineering releases for assigned projects.
• Oversee design reviews compliance documentation and engineering packages.
• Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Design for Serviceability (DFS) and Design for Installation (DFI) principles within product designs.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across product lines.
• Collaborate closely with procurement supply chain and manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and supplier capability.
• Maintain alignment with company standards and applicable codes (NEC UL IEEE NFPA).
• Ensure alignment of engineering outputs with company vision: safe defect-free reliable products delivered with process discipline.
• Drive new product development aligned to PPVs roadmap (e.g. pile caps substation control centers IPC and other structural/electrical systems).
• Ensure concepts progress through design reviews prototyping certification manufacturability and deployment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Civil or related engineering discipline (ABET-accredited).
• 812 years of engineering experience including 23 years in a leadership role.
• Solid understanding of eBOS products and manufacturing requirements.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable standards (NEC UL IEEE NFPA ASCE AISC).
