Location: Columbia MD (Hybrid Home Office with Occasional Local Travel)
This hybrid position requires inoffice presence 12 days per week access to reliable transportation for local travel and quarterly client site travel.

ICF is currently seeking an Account Specialist to support our energy efficiency program implementation in Maryland. This individual wouldbe responsible formanaging a pipeline of new and existing customers and trade allies to ensure our programs meet participation goals. The successful candidate will also contribute to the internal operations of the programs supporting the program manager with tasks such as reporting application review forecasting marketing development and client support.

What you will be doing:

• Develop andmaintainrelationships and partnerships with major local and national and regional distributors suppliers and manufacturers to support their participation in the programs
• Cultivate and develop new relationships and partnerships with trade allies and professional organizations to ensure program awareness and adoption
• Maintainstrong ongoing communications with participants and other interested stakeholdersin order toassess their needs and to receive feedback on their experience with the program
• Preparing and presenting targeted presentations as well as promoting program awareness and participation at trade shows trade organization and stakeholder events supply house counter days ride-alongsetc
• Provide program representation at trade shows trade organization and stakeholder events supply house counter days ride-alongsetc
• Demonstratescomfort and confidence in managing distributor-allocated budgets and engaging in clear proactive conversations about budget availability.
• Maintainsa strong understanding of program requirements andprovidesclear guidance to distributors and their contractors to ensure requirements are properly understood and met.
• Prepare ongoing status reports to document performance and activitiesdemonstratingprogress towards program goalsparticipationand pipeline management
• Review and analyze QA/QC data reported to client

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

• Bachelorsdegree in (Energy Business Admin Communications Environmental Studies or related fields preferred)(candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)
• 2 years of experience working in successful energy efficiency opportunities with specificexpertisein one of the following: HVAC contractors distributors or retail customers highly preferred.
• Experience with MS Office Applications (Word Outlook Excel)
• 2 years of experience with developing and/or implementing data collectiontrackingand reporting processes ( relationship management (CRM) efforts)
• Must have valid drivers license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Strong proven success in an outside sales role and/or business development
• Strong follow-up and follow through skills and ability to successfully close sales
• An energy efficiency background with a solid knowledge of building mechanical systems or commercial lighting
• Economic analysis and familiarity with DSM program planning and evaluation
• Utility experience and understanding of DSM program implementation
