Job Description

Brinks Global Services U.S. a division of Brinks Incorporated is the premier provider of Secure supply chain services for precious metals diamonds and jewelry and other VAL services to retailers financial institutions and commercial / government entities. The company has a proud history of providing growth and advancement opportunities for its employees. We have a challenging opportunity for an Account Manager.

Salary Range: 80k-100k commissions


Job Summary:
This position reports to the VP Commercial Excellence for North America and Canada. The account manager will be responsible for the day-to-day account management of Brinks Global Services Precious Metals customers. This individual will manage a book of business thats comprised of the highest generating revenue customers utilizing Brinks services to transport precious metals domestically and internationally. They will serve as the customers primary point of contact as they collaborate with the quoting/customer service accounting and operations teams (both domestically and internationally). This position requires up to 25% travel to facilities throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Individual account strategies in conjunction with the VP Commercial Excellence to execute them at the highest service standards and to the full satisfaction of our customers.
  • Focuses on retention and growth of top revenue-generating customers
  • Expands lanes to maximize wallet share
  • Problem-solves operational challenges internally and externally
  • Prepares content and attends QBRs with LOB Owner
  • Respond to RFPs follow up on offers submitted to clients and other Brinks stations.
  • Help customers as a day-to-day contact while using the appropriate escalation channels as matters arise.
  • Ensure activities are coordinated with the global team.
  • Adherence to local national and international legislation and procedures (Customs VAT Money laundering etc.).
  • Build foster and manage relationships with 10-50 top clients
  • Utilize the CRM to provide global visibility to activity.
  • Monitor deals and agreements with customers affiliates and subcontractors ensuring adequate margins compliance with company procedures.
  • Communicate with affiliates worldwide regarding opportunities with common international clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success selling logistics and freight forwarding services preferably in the precious metals space.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in field sales in logistics/freight forwarding preferred or min 2-3 years sales experience and operational experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in meeting or exceeding business goals including revenue targets similar business or with similar business dynamics i.e. managing and developing senior relationships managing across multiple functions departments and opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.A. or equivalent degree in Business Logistics Supply Chain or related field.
  • Experience in import/ export operations as it relates to high value commodities
  • Excellent track-record in developing profitable and successful relationships.
  • Experience within a fast paced competitive environment.
  • Evidence of successful career progression.

Professional Skills:

  • Possess a strong client facing presence well developed relationship skills and the knowledge to contribute effectively to successful proposal creation.
  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office products. Basic data base management and or project management software skills would be a plus.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and skills.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Skilled in working cross culturally in developing relationships with stakeholders regionally and globally
  • Excellent marketing sales operational and customer service skills
  • Ambitious enthusiastic and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
