Description- A warehouse specialist is responsible for overseeing coordinating and monitoring daily activity in a warehouse. They work with warehouse employees to monitor and record inventory of what goes in and out of a companys facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and manage warehouse staff including hiring training scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Ensure the safety of warehouse staff and promote a culture of safety throughout the warehouse.
- Oversee the receiving storing and shipping of products including inventory management and accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure that product is available for order fulfillment.
- Work with other departments such as purchasing and sales to ensure efficient inventory management and timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory accuracy material handling damage and warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety environmental quality system and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the development and implementation of warehouse policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Direct support to cycle count program.
- Monitor excesses and obsolete weekly during each change of order from engineering team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in logistics supply chain management business administration or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a related field.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations inventory management and shipping and receiving procedures.
