Position Summary
The Seasonal Seed & Chemical Operations Technician supports spring and summer agronomy operations by assisting with seed and crop protection product handling loading delivery preparation and general facility support. This role is critical during peak planting and application seasons and requires attention to detail safe work practices and the ability to work in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
This is a temporary seasonal position typically running from April/May through August/September depending on weather and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with receiving staging and organizing seed and agricultural chemicals
Mix load and prepare chemical batches for applicators following label instructions and safety protocols
Load seed and chemical products onto delivery and application equipment
Support applicators and agronomy staff to ensure timely field operations
Perform basic inventory checks and assist with documentation as needed
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
Follow all safety environmental and regulatory requirements
Assist with general agronomy facility and yard duties
Other duties as assigned to support seasonal operations
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid drivers license required
Ability and willingness to obtain a seasonal Class B CDL (company-supported)
Basic knowledge of farming or agronomy operations preferred
Willingness to work extended hours including early mornings evenings and weekends during peak season
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safety and compliance standards
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 50 lbs regularly
Ability to stand walk climb bend and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Exposure to dust noise and agricultural chemicals (with proper PPE provided)
Ability to work around heavy equipment and moving machinery
Schedule & Employment Details

Status: Temporary non-exempt (hourly)
Hours vary based on seasonal demand and weather conditions
