Contract Length: 43 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 5x7.5 hours
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM 2:30 PM
Hours per Week: 37.5
Compensation
Pay Range: $38$46/hour (W2)
Weekly Pay: $1425 $1725
Orientation: All hours billable
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based contract opportunity in Walterboro South Carolina. This role supports students with speech language communication and swallowing disorders within an educational environment.
The ideal candidate is student-focused collaborative and experienced in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans that support academic and functional success.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate students speech language voice fluency and communication needs
Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plans
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students individually or in group settings
Monitor document and adjust therapy plans based on student progress
Collaborate with teachers special education staff parents and school administrators
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school district and state guidelines
Educate families and staff on strategies to support student communication needs
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active or eligible South Carolina SLP license
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Experience & Skills
School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Knowledge of special education laws and IEP processes
Strong communication organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary school team
Compassionate patient and student-centered approach
