DT Department:
The Design & Technology department is a creative high-energy space dedicated to hands-on learning problem-solving and technical skill development. The department offers resistant materials product design graphics textiles and engineering modules across KS3 and KS4. Workshops are equipped with laser cutters 3D printers CNC machines woodworking equipment metalwork tools textiles facilities and design software suites.

As a DT Technician you will work alongside a team of experienced teachers to ensure the workshops are safe well-maintained and fully resourced. You will prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons maintain machinery monitor stock order supplies and support students during technical activities. The department values innovation safety and precision and technicians play a crucial role in the smooth running of all practical sessions.

Requirements:
Previous experience in a DT or workshop environment (school experience advantageous).
Knowledge of materials tools and machinery including laser cutters and 3D printers.
Strong understanding of workshop health and safety standards.
Good organisational skills and ability to multitask.
Practical hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students.
