Please note this is a permanent Part-time (32 hours per week) role over 4 days a week with a preference for one of the days to be Wednesday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assistance to the dentist and ensure a comfortable environment for patients and team members
- Comply with HCF Dental Quality Management System policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean safe and efficient clinical environment
- Support the Practice Manager and Dentist in Charge by fostering teamwork and smooth centre operations
Key Focus Areas
- Patient Flow: Monitor day sheets coordinate patient appointments and assist with emergency patients
- Chair Side Assisting: Prepare instruments and materials assist during clinical procedures and develop radiographs
- Surgery Organisation: Uphold infection control manage surgery changeovers and maintain stock and equipment
- Sterile Supply: Clean and sterilise instruments validate sterilisation cycles and maintain stock levels
- Work Health & Safety: Comply with WHS standards report hazards and participate in safety training
What Were Looking For
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated dental knowledge and experience
- Neat appearance and commitment to personal hygiene
- Ability to maintain confidentiality tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrated initiative and common sense
- Basic computer literacy
Desirable
- Reception experience or willingness to cross-train
- Qualifications in radiography sterilising and/or first aid
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting
