The company has established a key Sofia technology team comprising Software Architects Software Developers QA Engineers Project Managers and Technical Support Specialists as part of its global expansion strategy.
To support this strategy we are currently seeking talented individuals for the role of:
Were hiring a Senior Cloud Software Engineer at Merkle in Sofia.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain backend services usingJava (11)andSpring Boot
Build and optimiseserverless componentsonAWS (Lambdas API Gateway DynamoDB S3 CloudWatch)
Integrate APIs and microservices within a modular architecture
Ensure code quality through automated tests code reviews and performance optimisation
Contribute to CI/CD processes usingJenkinsGitHub Actions andTerraform(nice to have)
Collaborate with architecture and QA teams to ensure scalability reliability and security
Participate in agile ceremonies (daily standups sprint planning retrospectives)
Requirements:
5 years of experience inJava backend development
Strong understanding ofAWS serverlessecosystem (Lambda IAM SQS/SNS CloudFormation)
Familiarity withRESTful APIs microservices and asynchronous communication
Experience withCI/CD pipelinesJenkins andinfrastructure-as-codeprinciples
Good knowledge ofunit testing frameworks(JUnit Mockito etc.)
Working knowledge ofGitAgile/Scrum and standard development workflows
English proficiency and ability to work with distributed international teams
Nice to Have:
Experience withAPI GatewayCognito orKinesis
Exposure toorPythonfor Lambda scripting
Familiarity withDockerandcontainer orchestration (ECS EKS)
Background indata-driven applicationsor integration-heavy platforms
