Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Product & Technology department of a growing business and globally recognised brand.

Working within teams based in Sofia and in collaboration with colleagues in London you will play a key role in building maintaining and evolving the infrastructure that underpins FT Core platforms. This includes provisioning maintaining and upgrading systems in AWS as well as working extensively with Kubernetes and related tooling.

You will contribute to the design and operation of reliable scalable platforms that support business-critical capabilities. This role suits someone comfortable navigating an evolving technical landscape who enjoys improving systems and processes and contributing to shared engineering knowledge.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with team members and provide support within your area of expertise
  • Manage and evolve the teams cloud infrastructure (primarily in AWS)
  • Build maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to the design of platform architecture tooling and release processes used across Product & Technology
  • Support provisioning maintenance and upgrades of infrastructure and platform components
  • Contribute to company-wide processes frameworks and engineering best practices

Candidate Profile:

Essential

  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Solid Linux knowledge (intermediate or higher)
  • Experience with AWS cloud services
  • 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership and initiative

Desirable

  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes EKS/ECS Kafka/MSK)
  • Experience managing Kubernetes manifests (Helm Kustomize etc.)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI Jenkins GitLab CI etc.)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus stack AWS CloudWatch Grafana)
  • Experience with logging solutions (Fluentd Fluent Bit Splunk)
  • Experience with secret management (Vault Sealed Secrets Doppler etc.)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Cloudformation Terraform Ansible eksctl etc.)
  • Bash scripting skills

Would be considered an advantage

  • Deeper experience with the Prometheus ecosystem (Prometheus Thanos Alertmanager Grafana)
  • Networking knowledge
  • Experience with Service Mesh technologies
  • Experience with DNS management (Route53 or similar)
