Role Responsibilities

• Leadership & People Development

  • Lead and growa manufacturing and process engineering team supporting CMC NPI and production readiness.

  • Develop talentthrough coaching clear expectations and robust development plans; build future leaders and technical experts.

  • Establish team routines(tiered meetings visual management standard work) to drive daily execution and continuous improvement.

  • Create a strong safety and quality culture ensuring adherence to EHS and quality requirements in all engineering work.

  • Foster collaborationacross functions (operations quality design engineering sourcing supply chain programs) to deliver site objectives.

• NPI & Industrialization of CMC Processes

  • Own the manufacturing engineering deliverablesfor NPI programs from concept through rate-ready production.

  • Lead process developmentfor CMC layup forming curing/sintering machining inspection and associated special processes.

  • Drive manufacturabilityby partnering with design engineering to influence part and tooling design (DFM/DFA) and ensure robust producibility.

  • Plan and execute industrialization activities including process qualification PPAP/FAI capability studies and rate readiness.

  • Manage riskthrough structured readiness reviews control plans and mitigation actions for new and evolving processes.

• Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish maintain and improve standard workfor factory processes instructions and routings for CMC operations.

  • Implement robust process controls including process parameters monitoring and reaction plans to ensure stable and capable processes.

  • Lead continuous improvement projectsfocused on SQDC metrics (scrap rework yield throughput on-time delivery and cost competitiveness).

  • Use data and analytics(SPC Pareto root cause analysis problem-solving tools) to drive decisions and measure process performance.

  • Champion FLIGHT DECK principlesin manufacturing engineering and on the shop floor to eliminate waste and simplify flow.

• Technical Excellence & Problem Solving

  • Serve as the site technical leaderfor CMC manufacturing and process capability acting as a key interface to central and external experts.

  • Lead structured problem-solving(e.g. 8D A3 RCA) for complex process and product quality issues.

  • Guide process and materials trials DOE and validation efforts to mature CMC technologies into repeatable producible operations.

  • Ensure robust documentationof processes lessons learned and best practices to support knowledge retention and reuse.

• Program Resource and Stakeholder Management

  • Own the engineering execution planfor NPIs and key process projects including milestones resources and risk management.

  • Prioritize and allocate engineering resourcesbased on business needs program commitments and site constraints.

  • Communicate clearlywith site leadership and program teams on status risks and recovery plans.

  • Support capital planning and executionfor new equipment tooling and capabilities aligned to NPI and growth roadmaps.

  • Represent the sitein technical and program reviews audits and customer or regulatory engagements as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience inManufacturing Leadership Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management) 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Leadership Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management

• Due to the nature of the duties of this position this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government DoD Security Clearance

• Analytical & Problem Solving - strong data-driven decision-making; experience with tools such as DOE SPC capability analysis FMEA and structured root cause analysis

• Program & Stakeholder Management - ability to balance multiple programs and priorities; effective in ambiguous fast-changing environments; strong stakeholder management skills

• Change Leadership - comfortable leading change challenging the status quo and driving simplification in processes and documentation

• Communication & Influence - clear concise communicator; able to translate complex technical topics into business-relevant messages for diverse audiences

• Mindset - curious hands-on and collaborative; energized by building new capabilities and leading at a growing site
