1. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:

a. Clean Keep all areas clean and pristine.

b. Safe Follow all safety policies and procedures.

c. Friendly - Use customer courtesy skills of to provide superior guest service.

d. Fun Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.

2. Order or requisition beverage liquors and supplies to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.

3. Responsible for communicating and implementing procedures and processes for the overall efficient operations of the department.

4. Ensure staff is trained and prepared to deliver the highest level of customer service to the guests in order that they might have a positive gaming and entertainment experience.

5. Assists with the developing and managing of the budget for the Beverage department.

6. Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers. Manages programs and processes to control and reduce loss time injuries.

7. Interviews hires and evaluates personnel.

8. Delegates duties and assigns responsibilities.

9. Answers patrons complaints and resolves problems.

10. Assists and advises other departments and personnel as necessary to ensure the successful performance of Beverage and the Company overall.

11. Meet with directors and managers as necessary.

12. Monitors FTEs actual head count and overtime.

13. Provide various oral and written reports to the Beverage Manager.

14. Achieve departmental and individual performance goals and duties in a timely manner.

15. Demonstrate ability to understand communicate and comply with Company Policies Processes and Procedures.

16. Other duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The position is responsible to the Beverage Manager for the successful performance of assigned duties and is responsible for the supervision and performance of the beverage staff.

Easy Bar system

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical demands associated with the position including but not limited to extensive standing walking and occasional lifting. Office environment Casino environment exposed to various temperatures smoke dust and fumes bright lights and excessive noise levels. May include boat and/or floating barge. High rise hotel and atrium. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of gaming and alcohol beverage control laws and regulations.

  • Knowledge of Health Department applicable OSHA regulations and Gaming regulations.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing the Beverage services and operations effectiveness.

  • Public relations and customer service skills.

  • Oral and written communication skills.

  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.

  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Beverage staff.

  • Timeliness and accuracy in performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.

  • Ability to manage and resolve complex issues. Can be a high stress environment.

  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.

  • Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule in an interruptive environment.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Two to five years experience in bar operations and managing personnel preferred. Completes all Company-required training within designated time frames.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Must have or be able to obtain a valid Responsible Vendor card and Calcasieu Parish Bar card. The ability to obtain and maintain any licenses permits insurance or indemnifications necessary for the completion of duties and responsibilities associated with this position or for the protection of the Companys assets employee or patrons.
