Seed Production Operations
Location: Bloomington IL
$18-$20/hour
Position Summary
We are looking for a Conditioning Operator that plays a key role in the seed processing operation by ensuring products meet quality standards and production goals. This seed production operations position oversees day-to-day conditioning activities supports efficient throughput and helps maintain a safe clean and well-organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented safety-focused and comfortable leading others in a production setting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily conditioning operations and provide guidance to team members working in the conditioning area
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by following and supporting company safety policies and programs
Apply and support the companys Quality Management System (QMS) within assigned areas
Identify and recommend opportunities for safety efficiency and process improvements
Ensure product quality and integrity by thoroughly cleaning equipment between conditioning runs and during seed transfers
Operate conditioning and tower systems to maintain consistent seed flow and reduce bagging downtime
Complete all production and quality documentation accurately and on time
Perform pre-season inspections and routine maintenance to minimize equipment downtime during peak production
Maintain a clean orderly and professional work area at all times
Qualifications and skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Agriculture Supply Chain or related field (preferred).
Experience in warehouse operations seed production or agribusiness.
Strong leadership organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
Knowledge of seed handling storage and processing best practices.
Familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
