Job Description:

Shape the future of Cyclone Footballhelp build the roster that builds the program. Iowa State University has an opening for an Assistant Director of Player Personnel. This entry-level position will help advance the recruiting efforts for the D1 FBS football program.

Examples of what youll do

  • Assist Director of Player Personnel with strategic recruiting and evaluation of potential student-athletes including high school junior college and transfer portal.

  • Assist with coordination of updates to the recruiting database and recruiting boards.

  • Provide recruiting consultation and advice to the coaching staff and help manage the offer process for prospects.

  • Assist with creation and execution of the yearly calendar for recruiting and NCAA recruiting periods.

  • Manage and organize film create cut-ups and edit recruiting video.

  • Assist with official and unofficial visits.

  • Contribute to and enhance a competitive athletic experience.

  • Foster an environment that supports the well-being academic success and personal development of student-athletes.

  • Responsible for adhering to the rules and regulations of the department University Big 12 Conference andNCAA.

Ideal candidates require a good understanding of football recruiting processes and player evaluation techniques project management organization problem solving and communication skills. The position requires a high work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body and position works non-traditional hours including evenings weekends and travel with the team.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree

Experience coaching or working in football recruiting at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in recruiting operations at a NCAA DI football program.

Experience working with PFF Hudl and creating cut ups.
